Capturaron un puma en inmediaciones del Country Sauveterre
Este jueves, luego de un llamado de alerta, personal de distintas áreas de la Municipalidad de Olavarría logró capturar un puma que fue visto en inmediaciones del country Sauvaterre.
El animal salvaje merodeaba un sector de viviendas ubicado en inmediaciones de Avellaneda y Formosa, señaló el área de prensa del Municipio.
En primera instancia se informó que se recibió un llamado telefónico que en dicho sector, más precisamente en cercanías de un barrio privado que se encuentra en la zona, se paseaba un felino de gran tamaño.
Luego se inició un protocolo que contó con la participación de Defensa Civil y profesionales idóneos del Bioparque Municipal La Máxima. Una vez que se constató la presencia del felino salvaje, se utilizó un dardo tranquilizante para retener al animal.
Desde el Bioparque Municipal se indicó que la especie era un puma macho de joven edad que se encontraba recluido, en un espacio que se usa para almacenar herramientas y equipos de mantenimiento del lugar.
Por su parte, desde Defensa Civil se destacó que el animal, una vez sedado, fue trasladado a un canil para finalmente resguardarlo en el servicio veterinario del Bioparque Municipal, donde se le realizará la rehabilitación necesaria para su nueva relocalización.
Por último, el Municipio solicita a la comunidad que ante el avistamiento de ejemplares de este tipo poner inmediatamente a resguardo a mascotas y niños, y dar aviso a las autoridades. Este tipo de fauna es autóctona de las zona serranas y periurbana del Partido de Olavarría.
En el caso de avistaje deberán comunicarse a Defensa Civil al 103, a la Policía al 911, a Bomberos al 100 y a Ojos en Alerta al Whatsapp 2284 544817 (Solo mensajes).
