¿Quién es José Sbarra?

Con diversas miradas de escritores colegas como César Aira, Rodolfo Fogwill o Enrique Symns, la figura de José Sbarra obtuvo elogios y hasta envidias contemporáneas. Por otro lado, como una de las presencias más ingeniosas del under porteño, se convirtió en un mito que hoy muchos pibes buscan desentrañar. A todo esto, hay que agregarle una Estrella de Mar ganada por la obra de teatro realizada para los “susanos” de Susana Giménez, su audacia para pelear contra la imposición del AZT en su lucha contra el HIV y su gran producción de cuentos infantiles que también marcaron tendencia.
Las novelas “Marc, la sucia rata” (llamada en su primera edición “Los pro y los contra de hacer dedo”) y “Plástico cruel” fueron las que más influenciaron a colegas y lectores. Ambas tienen realizadas sendas adaptaciones cinematográficas. Y llegan hasta hoy proponiéndolo como un adelantado de lo que ahora se llama “literatura queer”.
Pero ¿quién es José Sbarra? Con tantas leyendas sueltas era extraño que no hubiera una voz “oficial” para su figura (sobre todo desde lo literario). Y que tenga claridad. Por ese motivo, editado recientemente por delaltillo ediciones, el libro “Este no es José Sbarra” fue escrito por los tres alumnos preferidos del escritor: Claudia Carrizo, Mirna Rey y Guillermo Del Zotto -a quien el autor declaró su biógrafo oficial-, donde ofrecen su mirada y dan testimonio de una época compartida con su maestro durante los últimos coletazos del under porteño. De esta manera la obra se convierte en la primera biografía oficial de este autor.
Se sabe que Sbarra nació, vivió y murió. Después de más de treinta años hay quienes aún se lo siguen confundiendo con el Indio Solari. El lo sabía y así consta en su biografía: “lo veíamos parecido al Indio Solari, para qué mentir. En Buenos Aires, le costaba más saludar cuando lo confundían con el cantante de los Redondos. Al pasar diariamente por una escuela secundaria donde le gritaban desde las ventanas, nos decía que saludaba porque no quería hacer quedar mal al Indio posta».
La obra recorre cuatro años de cotidianeidad junto con José Sbarra, entre talleres literarios y su mítico “Circo de poesía”. También indaga en el futuro de sus obras y su legado hasta el presente, ya que el autor murió de sida en 1996. Algunos de los títulos más importantes publicados por José Sbarra son: “Obsesión de vivir”, “Aleana”, “Cielito”, “Andy, el paseador de perros”, “No enciendas la luz”, “Marc, la sucia rata”, “¿Miedo, yo?”, “Plástico cruel”, “El beso del vampiro”, “Informe sobre Moscú”, “El mal amor (póstumo)”.
