Jornada Mundial de la Paz
El papa Francisco inicia el año 2025 con su mensaje de paz.
1. Al inicio de este nuevo año que nos da el Padre celestial, tiempo jubilar dedicado a la esperanza, dirijo mi más sincero deseo de paz a toda mujer y hombre, en particular a quien se siente postrado por su propia condición existencial, condenado por sus propios errores, aplastado por el juicio de los otros, y ya no logra divisar ninguna perspectiva para su propia vida. A todos ustedes, esperanza y paz, porque este es un Año de gracia que proviene del Corazón del Redentor.
- En el 2025 la Iglesia católica celebra el Jubileo, evento que colma los corazones de esperanza, que nos impulsa a buscar la justicia liberadora de Dios sobre toda la tierra.
- / 9. Si nos dejamos tocar el corazón por estos cambios necesarios, el Año de gracia del jubileo podrá reabrir la vía de la esperanza para cada uno de nosotros. La esperanza nace de la experiencia de la misericordia de Dios, que es siempre ilimitada. (…) Dios, que no debe nada a nadie, continúa otorgando sin cesar gracia y misericordia a todos los hombres.
- / 8. El cambio cultural y estructural para superar esta crisis se realizará cuando finalmente nos reconozcamos todos hijos del Padre y, ante Él, nos confesemos todos deudores, pero también todos necesarios, necesitados unos de otros, según una lógica de responsabilidad compartida y diversificada.
- /13. Busquemos la verdadera paz, que es dada por Dios a un corazón desarmado.
- / 14. El desarme del corazón es un gesto que involucra a todos, a los primeros y a los últimos, a los pequeños y a los grandes, a los ricos y a los pobres. A veces, es suficiente algo sencillo, como «una sonrisa, un gesto de amistad, una mirada fraterna, una escucha sincera, un servicio gratuito» [23].
- Con estos pequeños-grandes gestos, nos acercamos a la meta de la paz y la alcanzaremos más rápido; es más, a lo largo del camino, junto a los hermanos y hermanas reunidos, nos descubriremos ya cambiados respecto a cómo habíamos partido. En efecto, la paz no se alcanza sólo con el final de la guerra, sino con el inicio de un mundo nuevo, un mundo en el que nos descubrimos diferentes, más unidos y más hermanos de lo que habíamos imaginado. Que podamos… “descubrir «definitivamente que nos necesitamos y nos debemos los unos a los otros» [14]. ¡Concédenos tu paz, Señor!
