La inflación 2024 fue 118%, casi la mitad que la de 2023
La inflación de diciembre fue 2,7%, según reveló esta tarde el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censo (Indec), algo por encima del 2,5% de noviembre.
Con este número, el acumulado del año queda en $117,8%, casi la mitad del 211,4%$ con el que cerró el gobierno de Alberto Fernández, con Sergio Massa como ministro de Economía.
Con el nuevo IPC por debajo de los tres puntos, el gobierno podría reducir la tasa de “crawling peg”, es decir de la devaluación del tipo de cambio contra el dólar, al 1% mensual, una medida que busca acentuar el freno a los aumentos de precios pero que es cuestionada por economistas ortodoxos como Domingo Cavallo, que creen que existe “atraso” cambiario.
En su cuenta de X, el ministro de Economía, Luís Caputo, resaltó que esto (el IPC de diciembre) “se da en un mes en el cual el índice presenta una estacionalidad positiva, vinculada a las fiestas y al inicio del período de vacaciones de verano, y en un contexto donde tanto la actividad económica como los ingresos reales de la población presentan una fuerte recuperación”.
