El ministro de Desregulación y Transformación del Estado confirmó que presentarán una reforma significativa en las próximas semanas.
Este martes anunciaron que ya no será necesario renovar de manera presencial la licencia de conducir, por lo que en su lugar, podrá tramitarse de manera virtual.

“La renovación de la licencia de conducir no va a requerir ir presencialmente, como pasa en Estados Unidos”, señaló el Ministro que supo presidir el Banco Central en el gobierno de Mauricio Macri.
Según el economista, el Ejecutivo nacional realizará “una reforma muy integral” del Código de Tránsito. “Uno tiene que chequear que psicofísicamente está bien, que los ojos estén bien y que escuches bien. Vamos a permitir que la gente envíe ese certificado y no tenga que hacer ese trámite presencialmente”, informó.
Al margen de que se trata de un trámite que depende de los gobiernos de cada provincia, Sturzenegger explicó que en la nueva ley buscarán cambiar el sistema para que sea más ágil.
A su vez, el Gobierno busca evitar que la renovación de la licencia de conducir se transforme “en un mecanismo de recaudación” para los municipios.
Por último, el ministro nacional expuso que la nueva implementación cambiará para las personas con 65 años de edad o más. “Desde esa edad, las personas están obligadas a realizar el trámite de manera presencial. Tiene que ser más frecuente por una cuestión de edad y por seguridad”, concluyó.
