Con la puesta en marcha de “La Galera” el Museo Emiliozzi celebró un nuevo aniversario
El sábado 19 de octubre se celebró el 11º aniversario del Museo Municipal “Hermanos Emiliozzi” con la puesta en marcha de La Galera, el auto con el que los gringos se consagraron cuádruples campeones del Turismo de Carretera y hoy es Patrimonio Histórico Cultural de Olavarría.
El acto contó con la presencia de la subsecretaria de Cultura y Educación Sofía Arévalo, la directora de Patrimonio Cultural Dana Vergara, la encargada del Museo, Susana Martínez; el Comandante Gral. del Cuerpo activo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Olavarría Raúl Ferreyra, el director de Defensa Civil Adrián Guevara, autoridades de AMCO, coleccionistas de vehículos, concejales, personal del Museo y público en general.
En el marco del festejo, se destacó la presencia de un hincha de los gringos Emiliozzi, que vino desde la ciudad de La Plata, en moto, exclusivamente a escuchar la Galera.
Omar Rossini, cuidador de la Galera, dio arranque a la emblemática coupé Ford 39, apodada la Galera, ante el aplauso y emoción de los presentes, para celebrar ese décimo primer aniversario de nuestro querido Museo Emiliozzi.
Historia de la fecha
En el año 2005 la Municipalidad de Olavarría, adquirió el edificio donde Dante y Torcuato Emiliozzi forjaron una trayectoria repleta de logros y récords: corrieron 183 carreras durante 20 años, obteniendo 4 títulos consecutivos de Campeón y uno de Subcampeón. Y fueron ganadores hasta 1966, con su famosa “Galera”.
Mediante un proyecto en conjunto entre la familia Emiliozzi y la Municipalidad de Olavarría el histórico taller de la calle Necochea fue recreado como Museo e inaugurado un 19 de octubre de 2013.
El Museo Municipal Hermanos Emiliozzi tiene como objetivos: honrar la trayectoria de Dante y Torcuato Emiliozzi, dos deportistas olavarrienses que llevaron la impronta de nuestra ciudad por todo el país.
También busca conservar la memoria colectiva acerca de cómo se construye la historia local a partir de ejemplos como los que distinguimos, promover actividades educativas utilizando el Museo como un espacio para la divulgación de la cultura y transmitir a los jóvenes el legado de los Emiliozzi: invención, pasión, incontables horas de trabajo y esfuerzo más su proverbial humildad y hombría de bien.
