Con el programa «Mas Salud» buscan reducir los tiempos de espera para prótesis dentales en adultos
El Municipio continúa trabajando en pos de fortalecer el sistema de salud en sus distintas especialidades, a los fines de garantizar un acceso mayoritario de la comunidad a cada una de las prestaciones. Para ello, se trabaja desde el Consejo Administrativo de Salud en el marco de una mesa de articulación público – privada; que permite optimizar las políticas sanitarias.
En este contexto, a partir del corriente mes se encuentra vigente el programa odontológico “Más Salud”, mediante el cual se pretende reducir la lista de espera en pacientes adultos que necesitan rehabilitación protética.
La posibilidad de acceder a prótesis dentales es muy limitada debido a los altos costos en el sector privado, por lo cual es muy importante la intervención del Estado y; en este sentido, se destaca esta articulación público privada para la implementación de este Programa; destinado a todo el Partido de Olavarría, impulsado por el Consejo Administrativo de Salud, realizado por el equipo del Servicio de Odontología.
Un relevamiento efectuado desde el Consejo de Salud registra una demanda contenida de pacientes con necesidad de rehabilitación protética: actualmente hay una lista de espera de 300 pacientes en el área de Odontología. Para reducir este número se diagramó un aumento en el número de laboratorios dentales (de dos a cinco), al tiempo que se prevé el incremento de profesionales de mecánica dental; que se incorporan al Municipio como proveedores y, de esta forma, pueden prestar servicios en el marco de este programa.
“Más salud” está liderado por el Servicio de Odontología del Hospital Municipal “Dr. Héctor M. Cura”, y articula transversalmente con el área social del Hospital y la subsecretaría de APS. En este sentido atiende el desarrollo de campañas de educación para la salud individual: enseñanza de cepillado, revelado de placa bacteriana, asesoramiento dietético, cantidad, calidad y frecuencia de hidratos de carbono.
Se brinda acompañamiento hasta cumplimentar el plan de tratamiento y obtener el alta básica, para comenzar con la rehabilitación con prótesis dentales parcial y completa de acrílico a pacientes adultos con Alta Básica. Tras ello se programan controles cada tres o seis meses según riesgo.
