Consecuencias de la crisis: “hay más gente acercándose a nuestras Cáritas»
La crisis económica y social que vive la Argentina tiene su correlato en nuestra región dado que cientos de personas están concurriendo a las distintas Cáritas parroquiales en búsqueda de asistencia, particularmente, de alimentos y ropa.
El vicepresidente de Cáritas en la Diocesis de Azul, el presbítero Marcos Ferreyra confirmó este lunes que «hay más gente» que se se acerca a estos espacios en búsqueda de ayuda.
Ferreyra, párroco de San Antonio en la ciudad de Azul, habló con la periodista Claudia Bilbao en el programa «Desayuno con Noticias» y brindó datos generales de lo que sucede en está Diocesis que está compuesta por 14 municipios de la zona centro de la provincia de Buenos Aires.
En un principio, durante la entrevista, el sacerdote señaló: «sin dudas que hay más gente acercándose a nuestras Cáritas pidiendo ayuda. Eso se percibe. Es una realidad que se ve. Nosotros desde Cáritas lo que siempre se pregona, no es solamente ayudar que se hace en la medida de lo posible, sino que también es acompañar los procesos de la gente. También hay muchas necesidades de escucha, de acompañamiento, de cercanía, de poder acoger como iglesia, de recibir a los que vienen a nuestras Cáritas con necesidades que son diversas.»
«Está viniendo gente que sin dudas no le está alcanzando o le cuesta llegar a fin de mes», dijo Marcos Ferreyra dando cuenta que «eso se percibe notoriamente.»
Marcos Ferreyra insistió en que desde las Cáritas se promueve la «promoción humana» y dijo al respecto que esto es, «dar recursos para ayudar también a que los jóvenes puedan ir encontrando su vocación, poder desarrollarse en esa vocación, con respecto a los ancianos que puedan transitar la última etapa de su vida con dignidad, con recursos que necesitan. Yo creo que ese concepto que trabajamos en Cáritas, como sociedad debemos pensarlo juntos. Cuando damos un beneficio también pensar en dar oportunidades, en escuchar, en acompañar y estar presentes en la vida de las personas. Podes dar un montón, pero si a la persona que viene a pedir no lo miras a los ojos, no lo conoces, sino logras interactuar es como dejarlo vacío. Lo importante es la cercanía y el afecto que se provoca cuando interactuamos con las personas.»
El sacerdote explicó que Cáritas cuenta con la «generosidad de la gente» para hacerse de elementos que luego terminarán en los que menos tienen y remarcó que en la actualidad hay muchos proyectos de gente que ayuda con su profesión.
Sobre esto último, Marcos Ferreyra dijo: «hay distintos proyectos en Cáritas que se realizan gracias a que tenemos Asistentes Sociales que nos ayudan gratuitamente, generosamente. El recurso surge de la gente que aporta económicamente y también con la profesión de cada uno. Después toda la ayuda que va surgiendo siempre es bien recibida. A veces surge la ayuda de recibir aportes del Estado aunque surge puntualmente. Eso no es constante, a veces se da puntualmente. Lo que si es fijo es la ayuda que cualquier bautizado aporta a las Cáritas»
Ferreyra fue claro al afirmar que lo que tienen «no alcanza» y señaló: «hay que optimizar los recursos, a veces tenemos la gracia y la bendición de Dios de tener los recursos para poder ayudar a todo el que viene y a veces nos pasa que tenemos que priorizar.»
«Cuando damos un bolsón de alimentos, también se abre la puerta para acompañar un montón de otras cosas», dijo Ferreyra al señalar que se busca hacer acompañamientos a las familias que asisten.
