Femicidio en Tandil: Apareció muerto en su celda el acusado de asesinar a su pareja en un hotel alojamiento

Mariano Leopoldo Wanderkauven, principal sospechoso del femicidio de Mónica Vedda, fue encontrado sin vida en su celda de la Comisaría Primera de Tandil. El hombre de 42 años, detenido por el asesinato de su pareja, habría muerto por ahorcamiento, según los primeros indicios recabados por las autoridades.
El cuerpo de Vedda, de 54 años, fue hallado días atrás en un albergue transitorio de Tandil, donde había ingresado junto a Wanderkauven. La autopsia confirmó que la causa de su muerte fue estrangulamiento, lo que reforzó las sospechas sobre su pareja. Testigos del lugar declararon haber escuchado una discusión entre ambos antes de que el personal del albergue encontrara el cuerpo de la mujer.
La relación entre Vedda y Wanderkauven, que llevaba unos cinco años, estaba marcada por episodios de violencia. El día del crimen, ambos habían viajado desde Mar del Plata, donde residían, para pasar el fin de semana en el albergue “Los Alerces”. Tras el asesinato, las cámaras de seguridad del establecimiento registraron a Wanderkauven saliendo del lugar, lo que desató una búsqueda policial.
Wanderkauven fue detenido cuando se presentó en la Comisaría Primera para denunciar la pérdida de su documento de identidad, aparentemente con la intención de regresar a Mar del Plata. Luego de su arresto, se negó a declarar ante el fiscal, quien solicitó su detención formal bajo el cargo de homicidio agravado por el vínculo, en un contexto de violencia de género.
El fallecimiento de Wanderkauven en la celda fue descubierto el mediodía de este martes.
Las autoridades forenses y policiales trabajan para determinar las circunstancias exactas de su muerte, mientras la investigación por el asesinato de Mónica Vedda continúa su curso.
