Octubre Rosa: el Municipio junto a instituciones ofrecerán controles de salud y actividades de concientización
Cada 19 de octubre se conmemora en todo el mundo el Día Internacional del Cáncer de Mama, con el objetivo de visibilizar esta enfermedad y sensibilizar sobre la importancia de la prevención temprana.
En el marco de esta fecha alusiva, octubre es considerado el mes de sensibilización sobre el Cáncer de Mama. Por ello, en OIavarría se estableció la campaña “Octubre Rosa” (color que simboliza la temática).
La misma es organizada por el Municipio de Olavarría, junto a Lalcec, Ola Rosa y demás instituciones alusivas, mediante dicha campaña se hace hincapié en la importancia tanto de prevenir la enfermedad, como de mantener al día los controles médicos para registrar de forma temprana cualquier anomalía, lo que permita llegar a un diagnóstico certero y al tratamiento adecuado.
Desde el próximo lunes 14 hasta el viernes 25 del corriente mes se realizarán de manera espontánea PAP y examen mamario a quienes se acerquen al consultorio de Ginecología, en el Box N° 4 (Consultorio 21) del Hospital Municipal “Dr. Héctor M. Cura” de 8:30 a 12:00 horas. En paralelo, del 21 al 25 de octubre se llevarán a cabo controles en Lalcec Olavarría.
Asimismo también se realizarán estudios imagenológicos mamarios, de lunes a viernes 9 a 16 horas, en el Servicio de Diagnóstico de Imágenes del Hospital Municipal “Dr. Héctor M. Cura”, del 14 al 25 de octubre.
Por iniciativa de la Subsecretaría de APS, se llevará a cabo la Campaña de Salud de la Mujer, del 14 al 25 de octubre, que contempla actividades en los diferentes Centros de Salud, tales como controles ginecológicos y exámenes complementarios, talleres de concientización y charlas informativas.
También se llevarán a cabo variadas actividades de sensibilización sobre la temática como una charla de concientización que tendrá lugar el día jueves 17 de octubre en la sede de Bomberos Voluntarios.
Entre las actividades destacadas, se encuentra la “Caminata por la Vida” que se llevará a cabo el día sábado 19 de octubre, desde las 14:30 horas, en Parque “Helios Eseverri”. Como en cada edición se invita a llevar una prenda, gorra o vincha de color rosa. Esta propuesta es impulsada por el Municipio de Olavarría, Lalcec y el Hospital Provincial de Oncología “Luciano Fortabat”.
